Prefer to manage it yourself?

No problem. Any website can be built without the care plan, at the same Starter or Plus price. A few things to know:

  • Hosting is set up in your name. I'll help you open your own hosting account and hand over everything you need. You'll pay the host directly.
  • Updates are yours to make. After launch, you can make changes yourself, or hire me for one-off updates at $60 an hour.
  • You can add the care plan anytime. If you'd rather hand it off later, I'll move your site over and take it from there.

A website isn't a one-time purchase like a sign on your truck. It needs a place to live, it has to stay secure, and it should keep up as your business changes.

Common questions

Do I own my website?

Yes. Your domain is registered in your name, and your content and photos are always yours.

Is the domain name included?

Yes. While you're on the care plan, I cover a standard domain (up to $20 a year). It is registered in your name, so it is always yours.

Can I cancel the care plan?

Anytime. There's no contract. I'll move your site to hosting in your name so it stays online. If you'd like to rejoin later, there's a one-time $100 fee to move it back and set it up again. Update time resets each month and doesn't roll over.

What counts as an update?

Your care plan covers up to 1 hour of changes each month, like new hours, photos, prices or a few lines of text. Bigger changes, such as a new page or a redesign, get a clear quote before any work starts.

How long does it take?

Most sites are ready in 2–4 weeks, depending on how quickly your photos and details come in.

What counts as a page?

A page covers one topic, like Home, Services, About or Contact. Each page includes up to about 600 words of text and up to 5 photos. A gallery page can hold 5 to 20 photos of your work. Need more room? Extra pages are $75 each.

What do I need to provide?

Just your logo if you have one, some photos of your work, and answers to a short set of questions about your business. I'll write your website text from your answers, so you don't have to. If you're missing anything, I'll help.
